I'm an open and outgoing guy whose train of thought is probably best described as random as a hummingbird. I'm an engineer without an engineering personality, who'll even put form and comfort above efficiency in my everyday life *gasp* Although I do enjoy solving the puzzles that go along with being in engineering.

I'm a relaxed and patient guy who does not easily get frustrated or upset. This combined with the fact that stopped judging people long ago is probably why people find me to be such an great listener. If you can keep up with slash handle my randomness I love to just sit around and see where the conversation ends up going whether it be politics, international super mime spies, or the fate of the world/humanity once artificial intelligence is created (you can blame that last one on my computer engineering fried :P). I enjoy the serious and the ridiculous and can seamlessly switch between the two if I'm in the right mood.

Right now I'm just looking for someone I can enjoy hanging out with or have interesting conversations with first and maybe something more after we get to know each other if things build up to it, and I really do mean that. Hook-ups are not my style and experience has taught me that jumping into a relationship with someone you barely know is not the best way to go about things.

I've been trying to think of a way to describe myself in a way that is honest and yet still personable, and coming to the conclusion that a both flattering and truthful description doesn't really exist. I'm a complete pain in the ass-- a big contradiction really. I'm sarcastic, and a bit condescending toward those I don't find my intellectual contemporaries. I'm almost too compassionate, and have a goodly dose of Catholic guilt (even though I haven't practiced in years, go figure). I'm not all that girly, but I am known to get gooey over the usual romantic gestures--it's nice to know that someone is thinking about you, even if they aren't all that creative.

Somehow, in the mess that I've managed to make my life into, I've ended up in Columbus. I had to leave school for a little while due to some rather interesting money issues, and I'm trying to get my shit together enough to go back. But I will go back, oh yes, I will go back. After the past couple of years at the bottom in Corporate America I've made the decision that if I had to live this way for any length of time more people would be walking around with forks sticking out of their eyes and mechanical pencils sticking out of their throats.

::EDIT:: I was wrong. It was neither a mechanical pencil nor was it a fork. It was a spork (do I get points for being NEARLY right?) Due to this, I have moved back in with my parents in Perrysburg *shudder* and am going to Owens for Musical Performance in voice and Music Education. :)

It takes me a long time for forge real friendships, and I tend to do so with highly complicated people. Because of that ornery little detail, it isn't exactly an easy process.

Lastly, I would like to state that for the most part, I'm a pretty cheerful person--sarcastic, with a dry wit, sure--but still on the cheerful side. I've been trying to see past the everyday bullshit and focus on the good things that exist. I've found that since I've started, on the whole, I feel more content with the world. And unless I find better places to hide the bodies, I'm going to try and stay that way.

It probably would have been better to have someone else write this part and really it's all perspective. Determination is probably the best fitting description. Recently, I've had some degree of success, however I nearly lost everything several years ago. I also soak up knowledge and like learning about well nearly everything. I'm a programmer at a college. I have varied interests. I'm the original computer geek only with style. I don't seem to age probably because of genetics. I have the wisdom to know I don't really know anything at all. I'm pretty well established. I like sci-fi fantasy type genres. I'm searching for an ever elusive dream that seems to slip away upon almost reaching it. Perhaps I could be your dream.

im a very interesting person. i work a national amusements theater so i get to see movies at any national amusements theater for free and can even get others in with me. needless to say this means i see alot of movies. i enjoy a number of hobbies like video games, watching anime, hanging out with friends, reading, and learning new things. if i had to choose my favorite author i would have to go with isaac asimov. why? well its because he wrote alot of short science fiction stories which is right up my ally when it comes to things i like to read. as i said earlier im a nerd. i am a fan of all the classic science fiction movies like star wars, back to the future, and so on.

as for my personality, well i guess i would call myself calm and level headed when it comes right down to it. i think things through before i make any form of decision on things. i enjoy having conversations with people and to some extent arguing with people. hey sometimes its fun to argue with people, until it gets out of hand. also i guess you would concider me a joker. i love making people laugh, because when i makes others laugh i feel good about myself. my views are open when it comes to a number of subjects. if i dont agree with someone i still let them say what is on their mind and not interupt them. i hate it when people do it to me so i dont do it to others. but overall im just a good guy, who is there for people when they need him and can always be depended upon. even though that last statement seemed a bit cliched.

well what else is there about me to tell. oh, i dont drink, smoke or do drugs. but im not one of those purists who think that people shouldnt do it and thus bug those who do drink and smoke about quitting. nope i dont really care enough or have to time to go around pushing my thoughts on other people. plus i find it a bit low to tell people what they can and cant do with their own bodies. its theirs body not the american publics because if that were true than everyone in some way would be a pimp to someone else.

I love being outdoors, I try to go for a run every day. I golf in the summertime but I'm really bad so I don't like it. I love skiing, I try to make sure I go every year. Since I can't stop the cold from coming, I figure I'll make the best of it. I really enjoy it here in Perrysburg. There's nice stores, bars, and people.

This is always a difficult task. I write professionally so actually finding the words is not difficult it is just the fact that you are being asked to talk about yourself. For me, that is not always easy.

I am a father of four wonderful children. Unfortunately, all four are now grown and on their way in their own careers. After having children around for the past 26 years, being alone again is a new experience. One that I am not totally enjoying.

I own a business that takes a great deal of my time but I would very much like to find someone to spend my leisure time with. I enjoy a variety of activities including music, theater, travel, and sports. As part of my business I am actively involved in photography so it is an interest as well.

Generally, I am open to new ideas and experiences and do not possess any compelling need to always be the one to dictate what activities that me and my significant other partake in. I view relationships as a true partnership and try to keep this in mind.

I love music (playing or listening), and I play several instruments, my main one being violin. On a more serious note, I am actually quite a serious person. I may enjoy humor for the pleasant diversion that it is, but I am sensitive and analytical. Note the first four letters of that last adjectiveâ?¦certain things have to be done certain ways. Or a certain number of times. If you donâ??t understand what this means, I canâ??t explain it to you. Just try to ignore me as I adjust the volume on the radio up, down, up and down again, and turn the gas cap after filling up until my brain tells me itâ??s okay to stop. Of course, I donâ??t expect you to follow these rules. Theyâ??re just for my own personal satisfaction. I may not be able to control how other people think of me or the number of years I have left in this world, but I can control how many times the volume is adjusted and how long I keep turning the gas cap.

I am currently seeing someone, he is a wonderful man, and I would like to paraphrase him now because what he revealed about himself once also applies to me: I tend to over-think things, and when Iâ??m not over-thinking things, Iâ??m usually thinking about over-thinking them. Well I consider myself to be athletic and I like to play sports. Alright lets see I love to play sports it doesn't matter which one as long as I am having fun. My favorite sports to watch though are hockey and football. I have an associates degree in Computer Programming and will be getting another associates in Network Administration. I am normally always full of energy and have the tendency to look on the bright side of things in most cases. I workout when I get the chance, but lately it has been a challenge to get to the gym. During the summertime I am outdoors most of the time either just going for a walk or going for one of my 25 - 40 mile bike rides. During the winter I prefer to be inside watching movies or playing video games. I love to cook mainly for others as weird as that may sound and most people seemed to have enjoyed the dishes that I have prepared.

My name is Tim, im a 23 year old college student living in boring northwest ohio. I am in my last semester of college at Defiance College, where i will graduate in May with a degree in Communications. I played tennis for 4 years for the college and i had a great career. After graduation i would like to become a sports broadcaster (either tv or radio). I am an only child, and my parents are divorced, and i still live at home with my mom until i get a job and have the money to live on my own. Dylan is the name and work is the game. Got a greatish job 5 months ago, it's kind of a bore but it pays the bills. Living in Maumee now, I love it, my roommate is kinda badass. The place has a "Lake" more like a large pond, but I can't wait for the summer if I'm still working 3rds so I can come home and grab the fishing pole and a chair and fall asleep.

The job is covered below, it's not bad, better than what I was doing for 10 years before it. I have a Criminal Justice degree and went through the police academy, woofreakinghoo, I'm over it. Right now I'm toying with what to go back to school for nursing, it's an honorable and caring profession.

With all the extra time I have started up the P90X again, used to be the fat kid in high school college changed that! I'm still shy, being a nerd and not being a fat kid anymore you still have those old being scared to talk to a woman at the bars, and I may have allot of friends but they all coupled up! Whats a guy to do these days but get online and expand his options, who wants to get hit on at the grocery store? The real question is who wants to hit on people at the grocery store!?

I teach HS, and plan to coach starting this summer. I like someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation, and talk about what is currently happening in the country/world.

Hey there! First off I'm Ryan. I work 2 jobs right now which gets tiring at times but its what i like doing. I'm very happy with where i am in life but the only thing i'm missing is someone to share it with! Hmm... How shold I start? Well, if you know how Bipolar people and/or people with Asperger's behave, then you can begin to picture me. I tend to have many downfalls about myself. That is, unless I only think that way of myself due to my low self-esteem. Either way, that doesn't mean I'm all bad. I do have quite a few perks to me (or something like that). I am Alyxandra, defender of man-kind. That, however, would be a lie. I actually find it quite simple and even close to enjoyable filling out these little profiles. So hey, I guess I'll give it a go.....

Right now, I'm just chillin', and enjoying life. I've fashioned a career out of caring for the children and homes of families whom are wealthier than I...And it's not that bad of a gig. Just paying the bills till I can get my education underway. I'd love to be a school counselor. To me, that would be the best job ever, but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to be able to make that happen yet. Nevertheless, I have not yet felt really led by God to anything in particular, and I'm not planning on making a serious move till he gives the go-ahead. I have a pretty "happy-go-lucky" disposition, and like to spend most of my time laughing at pretty much everything. I'd like to think that I can talk about/have an opinion on pretty much anything, but I'm definitely not a conversation initiator. I am however, quirky, politically charged, sarcastic, loud/reserved, somewhat intelligent, and a full out Jesus freak :) Don't let that scare you off though, I don't go around a-bible thumpin' on anyone's door. If you'd like to know about my beliefs, I shall share them gladly. If not, pick my brain on another subject, I'll be just as chatty :D

I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for right now. I just moved to Toledo from Michigan, and am for the most part looking for intelligent conversation. My failed marriage kind of opened my eyes to the actual misery potential that relationships can truly hold. As far as a serious relationship goes, it'd take a pretty special someone to sweep me off my feet again. If that person comes along, I wouldn't be opposed to a relationship somewhere down the road, but I'm not exactly searching one out right now.

Also, I AM NOT THIN. That is why it says FULL FIGURED over on the right hand side of the page. Yep, right over there > I am not a 500 lb cow, and though I've been slowly but surely getting into better shape, I will never be a petite little size 4. I am okay with this, I like who I am and don't really care to ever be a size 4, it looks gross on me. I am okay with you NOT being okay with this, if you want a skinny little thing, there is nothing wrong with that. I am NOT OKAY with you harassing me about this, or asking me to meet, and then "not realizing I was THAT overweight." If you think a size 12 is "HORRENDOUSLY OVERWEIGHT", don't ask me to meet you. We'll both be rather disappointed.

I'm comfortable with many paradoxes. I'm conservative and liberal, though I tend to vote Democratic. I'm an extroverted introvert. I'm cautious yet spontaneous. I'm middle-brained and rely on both sides in my work and in how I approach life. I'm passionate yet guarded. I'm pro life and pro choice.

The closest religious label I could use is "secular humanist," though it's not an intuitive term. I'm an atheist, but that word doesn't provide any more information about me than a Catholic saying, "I"m a theist."

I believe in treating others the way I'd like to be treated. Kindness and gratitude are far more rewarding than envy and being judgmental. This is our one shot at life. We should cherish it and revel in it, so long as our revelry doesn't infringe upon other people.

I believe in continuous improvement. "To Life, Eyes Open," is something I wrote to a friend years ago. It's a simple idea, but one that I don't always live up to. I'm too easily distracted sometimes. :)
